Areas Of Focus
GoodGovernanceNG is developing practical models that examine key areas of public administration and everyday life. Each area provides a framework for studying existing challenges, identifying possible improvements, and developing workable solutions.
National Database Integration Model
Reliable data is the foundation of effective planning and public-service delivery. The National Database Integration Model proposes a secure, coordinated framework for connecting relevant government records and information systems so that decisions can be informed by accurate, current, and verifiable information.
From population changes and employment trends to migration, healthcare, education, and public infrastructure, the objective is to help government understand the needs of citizens and communities before allocating resources or designing new programmes.

Ideas and initiatives focused on practical improvement and new approaches.
Foster Raid
An initiative built around the principle that no child should be left without access to education. Where a child has no parent, an absent parent, or a parent who is unable to provide the necessary support, government would take responsibility for providing a pathway through education. Children supported through the programme would be given the opportunity to develop their abilities and, as qualified graduates, contribute to Nigeria's healthcare, engineering, agriculture, education, technology, and other sectors.
UnityWeek
An annual two-week celebration designed to bring Nigerians together to celebrate love, Nigerian crafts, music, culture, traditions, and the diversity of our tribes. The event would rotate across different states, creating opportunities for Nigerians from across the country to gather and celebrate one another.
Narcissism Awareness
An awareness initiative focused on helping people recognize patterns associated with narcissistic behaviour, understand how harmful relationship dynamics can affect emotional wellbeing, and become better informed rather than remaining confused about experiences that may affect their mental health.
VoterXpress
A concept for expanding access to voter-card registration by working with participating financial institutions to provide wider registration reach, subject to applicable electoral requirements, authorization, and verification.
Constitutional Amendment
An initiative focused on identifying sections of the Constitution that may require review or amendment, examining proposed changes, and encouraging informed public discussion around constitutional reform.
Vent
A government initiative designed to bring the ears of government closer to the people. Vent would provide a direct channel for citizens to report discomfort, injustice, illegality, misconduct, or other forms of wrongdoing and have their concerns formally recorded and addressed. Every report would receive a case ID that can be used to follow its progress until the matter is resolved.
Ideas Which Require Instant Activation
Ideas that address urgent areas requiring immediate attention and practical action.
Social Media Police
A specialized unit affiliated with the police and focused on monitoring publicly accessible digital spaces for serious criminal activity, exploitation, abuse, threats, fraud, and other unlawful conduct. Social media has become a major part of everyday life, and harmful or illegal content can spread rapidly and influence behaviour when it is repeatedly consumed without intervention. The unit would combine digital intelligence, evidence preservation, investigation, public education, and lawful enforcement. Where conduct on social media constitutes an offence under applicable law, the responsible person may be investigated and prosecuted through due process. The objective is not to police lawful opinions or ordinary expression, but to address conduct that is genuinely unlawful or harmful under established law.
Building & Real Estate Regulation
A coordinated building and real estate regulation system designed to improve building compliance, protect residents, and reduce the risks associated with poorly planned developments and fraudulent or irresponsible developers. Architects would be connected through a seamless interface with the relevant state development authorities, making the architect responsible for submitting building plans, tracking approvals, and providing clear construction timelines. Before land is purchased, prospective buyers would be able to access relevant information about the soil type, development requirements, and the appropriate engineering considerations for the property. Real estate contracts would also be reviewed where necessary, and where an agreement fails to provide adequate protection for residents and buyers, a state-approved contract designed to protect their rights and wellbeing would be made available.
Language Preservation
A community-based language preservation programme designed to keep Nigeria's indigenous languages alive across generations. Language classes and children's play groups would be established within communities, creating opportunities for families of similar cultural and linguistic backgrounds to meet with qualified teachers at community centres and communicate through their native languages. The programme would encourage children to understand, speak, and preserve their indigenous language while strengthening cultural connections between families. Participation and completion requirements may be linked to eligibility for designated government benefits, subject to the applicable programme rules and verification requirements.
Government Project Handling, Execution & Monitoring
A transparent project procurement and monitoring system built around open bidding, professional competence, independent oversight, and public feedback. Companies with the required expertise and capacity would compete through an open bidding process rather than relying on personal connections to government officials. Once a contract is awarded, independent auditors and project monitoring teams would track progress, quality, timelines, spending, and delivery against the approved project requirements. Citizens would also have access to a standard monitoring portal where they could view ongoing projects in their communities, see projects marked as completed, and submit feedback about the quality of work. Where credible evidence shows serious non-performance, poor workmanship, abandonment, or failure to meet contractual requirements, the matter would be formally reviewed and appropriate contractual action taken. The objective is to create a system where public projects are awarded on competence and companies remain accountable for delivering the work they were contracted to perform.
Areas Worth Looking Into
Areas that require deeper review when given the mandate to lead.
Some national challenges require access to government institutions, records, agreements, data, and decision-making structures before they can be properly investigated. These areas will remain open for further examination until we are given the mandate to lead. At that point, they will be subjected to comprehensive review, with practical solutions developed in the national interest.
Electricity & Power Generation
Nigeria must understand the bottlenecks preventing reliable electricity supply. We will examine the entire power sector, explore opportunities for investment and private-sector participation, and consider every practical avenue for achieving stable power supply. Reliable electricity must become a necessity, not an option.
Oil & Gas
Nigeria's oil and gas sector requires a comprehensive review. We will examine production, refining, gas supply, pricing, infrastructure, investment, and the factors affecting the cost and availability of energy. The objective will be to develop practical solutions that work for Nigeria and make our energy resources more accessible and competitive.
Natural & Mineral Resources
We will examine Nigeria's non-oil natural and mineral resources comprehensively, including their deposits, development, processing, investment opportunities, value chains, and contribution to the Nigerian economy. The aim will be to identify ways to develop these resources responsibly and create greater value within Nigeria.
Historical Agreements & Commitments
Past agreements and commitments entered into by Nigerian governments with foreign countries, organisations, and institutions will be reviewed where appropriate. Their terms, implications, benefits, costs, and long-term effects will be examined, with decisions on their continuation, modification, renegotiation, or other appropriate action considered based on the national interest and applicable legal obligations.
